Just another reason Charlotte is the greatest city to live in...

Today marked the Fourth Annual Hope Floats Duck Race put on by KinderMourn( www.kindermourn.org ), a Charlotte Organization that provides support and counseling for families that have experienced the death of a child. The race took place at the amazing U.S Whitewater Center here in Charlotte (and yet another reason Charlotte is wonderful) where 12,000 adopted ducks (rubber ducks, that is) braved the raging waters in hopes of crossing the finish line first. I was truly amazed at the number of people that attended this event, and watching thousands of rubber duckies float their way through an Olympic Whitewater course was certainly a sight to see. So... for the month of May, 10% of all print proceeds from photosessions taking place in May will be donated to KinderMourn. Here are some images from today's event!

My first blog entry!!!

Yay for me, I am joining the blogging community! I will be posting updates, sneak peeks and events at Amanda James Photography, so check back regularly. I will try to post as often as possible... stay tuned! It would be unjust to post my first entry without a photo, so I will start off by posting one of my favorite images, of one of my favorite people. Enjoy!
